Whatever is...

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,

whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence
and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

~ Philippians 4:8

WHATEVER is one word that's been so abused in our world for years now.  As a younger generation uses it to dismiss another's suggestions and even TRUTH, I'm reminded how WHATEVER is used in the Word of God. 

 

WHATEVER is...true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, excellent, and worthy of praise...our focus should be on these things. For as a man thinks in his heart, so he is (Proverbs 23:7).  

I pray to daily surrender unlovely thoughts and focus on the lovely things that are all around me.
